There are over 200 known Google ranking factors that affect your SEO performance. So many of these are not known to us as Google keep pretty tight-lipped about what exactly their ranking algorithms are based on, but they do give hints and tips. Sometimes they even tell you what is influencing the position of your website, in which case, pay attention!

The list below is formed of a combination of SEO ranking factors – those that Google have come out and directly said will influence where they rank your website, as well as those that are generally accepted to be ranking factors, but they haven’t specifically admitted. These are typically thanks to months, and years, of industry research into what will help your website appear higher up in the search engines.
